Behind the Scenes: The Garden City
The upcoming release of our new designs recently took us to the lovely city of Toowoomba (yes, it’s a city - we Wiki’d it). For those of you unfamiliar with “The Garden City”, an hour and a half away from Brisbane, Toowoomba is a plethora of street art, historical buildings and public spaces, which makes it the perfect setting for a JRC shoot. It’s also home of one our favourite photographers, Louise Lehmann Photography (who happens to be our sister, how convenient). You can check out her work here.
The morning of the shoot started bright and early, with us hitting the road at 6.00am with one of our favourite friends and hair extraordinaire Jools (better known as @hair_by_jools) in tow. Not only does Jools create hair magic in record speed, but she also agreed to do a little modelling for us this time around.
We also had the privilege of having two absolute gems Molly (who you may recognise as the brunette plastered all over our Instagram) and another good friend of ours, Emily, join Jools in front of the camera. A huge aim for us when planning our shoots is to have everyday ladies and everyday styles to show our beautiful customers (yes, that’s you guys) how the pieces REALLY look.
The best part of shoot days is we always have a whole heap of fun and it never really feel like work. It’s one of our absolute favourite things to do because it’s just a bunch of talented ladies having a laugh (and getting some fabulous content at the same time). Photos always look so much better when people are actually having a great time so it makes it easy peasy!
