For those of you who are unfamiliar with Busy Head, please let us introduce one of the coolest earrings brands going. Therese is the creative genius behind Busy Head and her work is inspired by some of her favourite things including plants, animals and delicious beverages. 

We were immediate fans and fell in love with Therese and her illustrations after we commissioned some custom pet portrait ear dangles from her (what a seriously fabulous idea!) and we soon realised we happen to have quite a bit in common. So of course the suggestion of a collaboration was an oh hell yes! moment.  

What started as a cooking pot of collaboration ideas back in February 2018 (we first considered designing individual items for both brands to launch together) evolved to something quite different altogether.

As the story goes, just like how many of the world’s best ideas are formed (over coffee and long chats) we decided on a great concept for our first design. We decided to use Therese’s illustrations and bring them to life on textile. 

Since starting out, a dog print has always been on our ‘high priorities’ list but we never created something we loved enough to run with. Luckily, this is where Therese stepped in. With her help, we decided on what breeds we wanted on our print and the colours to compliment the design.

Obviously, it made sense to have Therese make matching earrings for the collaboration so we decided to offer pairs of earrings to match each of the breeds showcased in our print. This way, customers can choose their absolute favourite doggo earrings to match their outfit. Amazing, right? We think so too.
